ARMA NNJ Chapter Library

The ARMA NNJ Chapter Library is a value added resource that is available to all current chapter members. The available publications extend beyond basic reference to materials essential to the professional development of our members in their records and information management functions.

Some of the topics included in the current listing are:

  4. Imaging
  5. Education and Training
  6. Vital Records
  7. Managing E-Mail
  8. Litigation Support

It is our understanding that ARMA NNJ Chapter has one of the largest libraries within the ARMA Northeast Region. The publications in our library are helpful to CRM candidates, RIM professionals regardless of company size and anyone who has a need for more information about the RIM profession. Our collection grows through purchases funded by the chapter and by donations.


Library Procedures
  • Any member of the ARMA NNJ Chapter can request publications free of charge.
  • Browse the available publications in the ARMA NNJ Chapter Library List (See below)
    • Note the Book Number and Title of your selection (Author optional). 

    • Ensure your selection is available. If the publication was requested by another chapter member, "Checked Out" will appear in the Availability column.

  • Complete the ARMA NNJ Library Order Form (See below - note required fields).
  • Submit It!! (submit one form for each publication). 
  • Your Order will be reviewed by the ARMA NNJ Chapter Librarian.
  • Librarian will forward order confirmation with addtional information to your attention.

Delivery & Return Method

  • By Mail or At the ARMA NNJ Chapter Meetings (will be decided by Librarian after discussion with the requestor)
    • Shipment by the Librarian is done at no charge to the chapter member or the chapter.
    • Returns by shipping will be done at the chapter member's expense.

Renewals

  • Normally, publications may be checked-out for no greater than 30 days.
    • Renewal Option - decided by Librarian base on the number of copies and the demand.

Lost or Damaged Publications

  • Lost - must be replaced at the member's expense.
  • Damaged - a full or partial payment will be assessed based on the publication cost and availability.

Overdue

    • Members are encouraged to be considerate of others with similar needs.
    • If overdue - Librarian will determine course of action which could include suspension of borrowing privileges.

Donations

ARMA NNJ Chapter welcomes the donation of current and industry-appropriate Records and Information Management related publications, by a member, vendor or an organization, that are in good condition. All donations are acknowledged in the ARMA NNJ Chapter published newsletter. Please inform the Librarian should you desire to remain anonymous.
